Two New Poems
Your Love Is A Gift -August 6th 2014
Love doesn’t always come in the way we expect, wrapped up in pretty bows,
Or swirled in cotton candy all sweet, or with sun 24/7,
But then again neither does life.
It doesn’t always come in the context we imagine,
Nor does it align with the contexts of life we imagine.
In spite of all this and the roller coaster it’s been,
Your life is a gift to me.
I’m Letting Go -August 6th, 2014
I’m not walking away or closing the door, really I’m not,
Nor am I saying goodbye, since I never could actually.
I am not saying I don’t love you, since that would be an epic lie.
I am not saying any of that, but I am letting go.
I am letting go, so you can come home, when it’s time,
I’m letting go.
I am going to write a whole post about these poems and what this amazing connection has taught me about letting go and all that jazz, so stay tuned.
