As the water falls upon the names, I wonder.
I wonder who they were, and more,
Such as, whether they have siblings, or children,
What hopes and dreams they might have had before their lives were cut short.
As the water cascades over their names, I wonder,
What their favorite pastimes or hobbies could have been,
Whether they liked sports or perhaps a good symphony.
I suppose we will never know for sure.
As the water cascades, I wonder the many tears shed for them,
Shed for them by those they loved and who loved them,
Suddenly I find a tear cascades down my cheek,
I also cry and mourn, even if only for a brief moment.
