People with Autism and sometimes, even you and me   can’t handle too much stimulus and can thus get very agitated, lose focus etc.. in situations that provide too much stimulus, so parents, spouses, co-workers etc.. can use music to calm them down, get them to a calm place within, as can we ourselves, but as with anything you need the right stuff, so this is a list of 21 songs that have been shown to help cope with sensory overload.  It might be a good idea to put a few of them on CD or however you want to have them handy.  Music as with anything is a tool, and if you are going to use it to bring calm to yourself or others, good to know which songs have been shown and proven to help, so enjoy the music.
