It also made me think and reflect.  The turtle is I think like people in some ways.  We show the world a hard tough exterior and are very slow to show the true self because we fear the true self means weakness, means non-acceptance etc…. We take our time in opening up, or even in seeing  friendship true,  true love right in front of us, in accepting it, in pursuing our dreams.  We take time, too much time and so the adage of “you snooze, you loose” becomes the banner and pattern of one’s life.  in some areas, yet in others we throw all caution to the wind, but not necessarily in wise ways, only later, much later do we realize all of this.  Better late than never is another saying and it’s true.  The slow and steady wins the race to some extent has validity, but not if it is out of fear or any negative emotions driving it.

Kudos to the artist for the beauty of the art, but also inspiring me to think and reflect through this piece of art.

Faith Over Dysautonomia: NYC Songwriter Publishes “Mosaic of Life and Faith in Poems” E-Book of Poetry

New York, NY, July 21, 2014 – Songwriter Katherine Appello, whose songs have been licensed by Apple and Amazon has published her first full length e-book “Mosaic of Life and Faith in Poems”.

While Dysautonomia –Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue may knock me down, my faith and the creative gifts given to me by the Lord see to it that it won’t knock me out. I may not be able to teach and have a schedule, thus steady employ, but my faith and the arts will see me through. That is a blessing each and every day that one has to navigate these waters.” Katherine Appello

“Mosaic… is a collection of poems in English, Italian and a few in Spanish that are based on Ms. Appello’s own personal experiences, as well as observations as relates to faith, life, including dealing with dysautonomia, and love. Ms. Appello hopes that through her work as an artist, she can be an inspiration to others with syndromes and in difficult situations to keep pressing forward and also to bring awareness of this devastating umbrella condition that often even doctors will dismiss, as it’s not something to be seen under a petri dish.

Ms. Appello hopes to soon organize a reading and share information about Dysautonomia to bring awareness of it. A portion of all royalties on all arts project will go to Dysautonomia research. Ms. Appello is available for interviews in Manhattan or via Skype.
