Moderation, everything in moderation and wisdom. Giving, generosity, loving, trusting, listening are all positive things, but at the same time, they must be tempered. Giving to where you burn yourself out, can’t pay your bills etc.. not smart, not what God would want. Same with love, loving, being loved, beautiful, unless it is a loving that hurts you emotionally etc.., unless it’s a union of obligation etc.. not of love. Trust, well yeah to engage with each other, to have a strong relationship etc.., trust matters. At the same time absolute blind trust to where you can’t see if you are being taken advantage of etc.., is not a healthy trust. Trust is built with time, interaction, really having your intuitive antenna strong, your discernment solid. Listening, awesome, trying to see the other side of the coin, awesome. However, if you listen, and bend all the time, never express your views on anything for fear of not being liked, not being part of the “in” crowd, that’s not a positive. Granted delivery can be diplomatic, yet authoritative, confident, but your voice matters, so long as you are not endorsing anything illegal, you need to be able to have a voice, your authentic voice in Christ, in faith. These things, giving, loving, trusting, listening are all good things when navigated wisely.
Namaste, Shalom and Amen
