Have to Let Go

We all have that one person that though they are not part of our lives anymore, we find ourselves always wondering “what if” and I realized today after seeing something on FB that I have been doing just that.  I have not allowed love in because a small part of me kept thinking “what if we come together again”.  I realized today that there is no coming together because we never really were together, never really built a strong friendship, or strong anything.  If the person is very comfy where they are and you are not offering a similarly comfy alternative, or they are fear too much disrupting their life to be in a true union with you, then what is the waiting around for, will serve no purpose.  Someone can only be yours and you theirs if you have truly built a relationship on a strong foundation of friendship, of sharing pains, joys of life etc.., if you haven’t then they are not really yours, and so much as it pains me to realize it, I need to let go of a certain person completely and move forward, open my heart to love, to the kind of love I am seeking, kind of relationship where the person is 100% free in heart, spirit and soul to be in a full relationship.  Can’t live in a land of “what if”, “maybe” and all that.  Not a good place to live in or operate in.  Time to go to a new place, one where my heart is wide open and ready to receive a true relationship where there is mutual deep friendship, cherishing of that bond etc…  Life is about move forward, not being stuck anywhere and in the relationship arena I have been stuck for too long in the “what if” section. Unless a person makes it clear they want to be in your life, they make every effort to build a solid friendship etc.., what is one waiting around for?   It’s said, but based on something I saw on FB today it seems I have to say  “Goodbye old _____”, can’t say friend, not sure what to put after Goodbye.

Namaste, Shalom and Amen
