Healthy Relationships

When people think relationship, they often think romantic, but we have all kinds of relationships, including our relationship to self, so it’s important to understand what constitutes a healthy one.  I’ll be going in depth for the next week on this.  At the core of a healthy relationship is Respect, but what is respect? 

It’s a feeling, sense, understanding that someone or something is the serious, important and should be treated that way, and appropriately.  That is the foundation of a healthy relationship, being an emotional priority for each other.  If there is no respect, if someone is not considering the other as a priority in any way, not treating the other in a way that shows kindness, awareness of how their actions affect the other person then there isn’t a foundation of respect.  Something to consider..
