Life Vision

In life it is a good idea, just like when you are taking a trip to have some kind of a roadmap.  To create this map, blueprint, it is important to understand the difference between vision, mission and goal.

Vision is the overall concept you have for you life, that forest, the big picture as they say.  It is a good idea to have a general vision for your life, a big picture.  Then there is the mission that basically is the purpose of the vision, the “why am I following this roadmap?”  “why does this roadmap, this vision mean so much to me?”  Then you have the goals are the specifics of the roadmap that you achieve to end up with the big picture.  Those goals should be Specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.  If you have goals that are too vague, that is not helpful and if they are too rigid, you can’t adapt and adjust slightly as necessary also not good.  You should be able to measure them, the progress, and they need to be realistic.  Pie in Sky is not a good thing.  Keep the goals realistic to be able to steadily reach the big picture, but never let fear keep you from achieving it.  How do you discover that concept, big picture, that overall calling?  I have created a meditation to help you.  Enjoy.
