New Poem in Progress


You say tomato, and I say tomahhtoow.

You say potato, and I say potahhtoow.

You to to the left of the road and I go to the right,

And while you go to lost to Persia in your loyalties, seems to me,

I stand steadfast with Israel steadfast, unmoving in that loyalty to the child of Covenant.

Yet that does not take away from how I feel in the depth of my heart, spirit and my soul,

And I pray each day that you will find your way home to me.

Shalom and Amen.

Born in New Jersey, August 1965, this Italian-American has always had a great interest in music, particularly the Oldies, Country and Ethnic music, including Irish. For over 10 years Ms. Appello passionately taught ESL to students of varying ages. Grounded if her faith and spirituality, Katherine endured a range of issues, including a great deal of pain, which was finally diagnosed to be associated with Fibromyalgia.
