No Going Back

A friendship that had been for a long time, had had a rough patch or two, recently something shifted, not sure what, but something definitely shifted.  When relationships, friendships, connections, circumstances shift, we can get really angry, we can force fix it, push to try and get it to where it was, but really it can not be what it was.  There are times when things shift to where they just can’t be what they were.  One of the important skills in life that we need to learn is letting go, that includes people, relationships, goals that no longer serve our greater good.  Don’t get me wrong, it can be sad when something shifts to where it can’t be fixed, but I suppose I have learned because of having to learn due to the fibromyalgia, a certain detachment as regards things in life.  Though this friendship is one that was in place for a number of years, it is okay for me to let it go and I am perfectly fine with letting it go, releasing it and this person.  Life is about flow and letting this go is part of that flow, and I do so wishing this person all the best.

Namaste, Shalom and Amen
