Love Your Pet ~ Lavender Hydrosol Spray
Love Your Pet Lavender Spray is made with 100% pure lavender hydrosol ~ one of the safest and gentlest products you can use with your pets. Lavender is considered by many pet owners as an all-purpose hydrosol since it is gentle, soothing, relaxing, and antibacterial!
Our lavender hydrosol is 100% pure – distilled at our local co-op lavender farm located in Applegate Valley, Oregon. Why is this important? When using hydrosols for your beloved pets, experts in the field such as Kristen Leigh Bell and Suzanne Caddy agree that hydrosols are one of the safest products to use but they need to be free of preservatives, stabilizers or additives to be safe and effective. We work closely with our local farm to ensure the purity and quality of this product.
Love Your Pet Lavender Hydrosol can be used with your dog, cat, horse, goat, ferret, skunk, and many other animals.
Don’t use any kind of aromatherapy product on birds, amphibians, or aquatic animals. Cats need special care. We appreciated this advice from Aromahead Institute’s Co-Educational Director, Karen Williams, hydrosol can be used by applying a small amount to your hands and running them through your cat’s coat. Since your cat will lick his coat, the hydrosol is going to be ingested so you want to use only a small amount.

WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?
Hydrosols are the condensate water that is produced as a result of the steam distillation of plant materials to produce essential oils. Hydrosols contain only the water-soluble components of the plant, they are non-volatile by nature and have a low odor intensity. Hydrosols are perfect for pet care as the chemical components are highly diluted and act more akin to a homeopathic remedy, providing gentle yet effective results and the low odor intensity does not overwhelm your furry companion’s acute sense of smell.
“True therapeutic hydrosols free of preservatives, alcohol, stabilizers and properly handled are a healing boon for animals of all kinds and are virtually the only choice of aromatic substance to use on cats. Their low odor intensity and non-volatile nature means they are not overpowering to animals, especially cats with their acute sense of smell.” Suzanne Caddy – From Holistic Aromatherapy for Animals by Kristen Leigh Bell
The Methods of Use are general guidelines. Individual sensitivities must all be considered.
For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep away from direct flame – essential oils are flammable. If pregnant or nursing, consult a physician before using essential oils. Store at room temperature and avoid direct sunlight.
Aromatherapy: The use of natural, aromatic substances, known as essential oils, to enhance the well-being of body, mind, and spirit. (This statement has not been evaluated by the FDA. No information provided is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.)
